On 14 July, 2016, SAMA gave its presentation to Ministry of Road Transport, Highways and Shipping on trends,emerging survey & mapping technologies for roads and highways.
On 7July 2016, SAMA's meeting was held in Delhi. The meeting had the presence of Shri Rakesh Verma, Maj. Gen R C Padhi(Veteran) Shri Dheeraj Kumar, Shri Maneesh Prasad and Lt col M C Verma (Retd).
This meeting was focussed on immediate key objectives of SAMA
On 17 June 2016, SAMA delegates met Shri Sanjay Mitra, IAS, Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways and apprised him about SAMA and submitted its concern on The Draft Geospatial Regulation Bill 2016.

On 17 June 2016, SAMA delegates met Shri Balvinder Kumar, IAS, Secretary, Minister of Mines and apprised them about SAMA and submitted its concerns on The Draft Geospatial Regulation Bill 2016.
On 14th May 2016, SAMA's meeting was held at MapmyIndia's office.
The meeting had the presence of Shri Rakesh Verma, Shri Dheeraj Kumar, Shri Maneesh Prasad, Lt Col M C Verma(Retd.),Shri Nikhil Kumar, Maj. Gen R C Padhi(Veteran) and Dr. Manosi Lahiri. Two members from Executive Council could not be there due to some personnel reasons Col Jacob Jacob(Retd) VSM and Dr. Bharat Lohani.

On 16th Feb 2016, Associations first official meeting was held at USI Delhi . The meeting had the presence of Shri Rakesh Verma, Maj Gen R C Padhi(Retd), Dr Manosi Lahiri, Col Jacob Jacob(Retd) VSM, Shri Dheeraj Kumar, Shri Maneesh Prasad, Lt Col M C Verma(Retd.) Two of the members from Executive Council Dr Bharat Lohani and Shri Nikhil Kumar could not be there due to some personnel reasons.
In this meeting various initial and key decisions were taken on how the Association will be working, the key activities of the Association were decided, besides formalizing the constituting of the Association.
