Survey and Mapping has been one of the oldest industries, to witness many cycles of changes- from chain tapes to present UAV platforms. Over the time, entire ecosystem has been contributing to the progression of the industry. To acknowledge the needs and voicing the issue of survey & mapping industry, the stakeholders from industry and academia have come together recently to form Survey and Mapping Association (SAMA).

Survey and Mapping Association (SAMA) has been formed with a focus to promote scientific learning and technological developments related to geospatial technologies in general and more particularly strive for the increased usage of state of the art surveying and mapping technologies based solutions and services, in governance and industry.
